Erotic Shorts @ The Little Red Studio
John writes:
The Little Red Studio is having their first evening ever of live theatre, and
they are only running the show once.Usually, they run performance art pieces - aerialists, poets, dancers, etc.
This night will be short form live theatre pieces. I am somewhat
prejudiced (being the author of one of the pieces), but This is a VERY
talented group of actors, and the show has some wonderful moments of humor
in it. I'd love to see a number of the party volcano members there.
This is cut from the Little Red Studio website:Erotic Shorts will take place on Friday, July 6th and promises to be a
wonderful foray into the theatrical side of Little Red Studio. Themes
visited include the effects of art on the psyche, polyamory, android ethics,
and even teenagers in lust. All the plays were written by local playwrights
and you'll see actors from both inside the LRS troupe as well as from the
greater Seattle theater community. We can't wait to share this brand new
event with you!

Spin the Bottle @ Annex Theatre
Bret writes:
I've started a project: Every day for a year, I'm going to draw a
picture. It doesn't matter what I draw; I'm just going to draw every day
and see if, after 365 days, my drawing improves. And I'd like to involve
you in this project.
Anyone who sends me their address -- their snail mail address, not their
electronic one -- I'll send you a postcard with a drawing on it at some
point this year. I can't promise when, nor can I promise the picture will
be any good, but if you're like me, getting something personal in the mail
is one of life's small delights. I promise I won't use your address for
any purpose but this (hell, Annex can't afford to do mailings any more).
The first 10 people to send me their addresses will get TWO postcards over
the coming year, at least a few weeks apart. Twice the postal pleasure! In the meantime, come enjoy some other small delights this Friday night,
July 6, at 11 pm, as Spin the Bottle presents:
>> The neo-bluegrass hayseed sophistication of THE HALF BROTHERS!
>> Rolling hips and swaying bellies from HANDS OF KALI!
>> Song/film extravaganzas from ERIN STEWART and CELENE RAMADAN!
>> Beach frolics from MARY PURDY!
>> Madness on roller skates from JEANETTE MAUS!
>> Sultry songwriting from TAMARA LEWIS!
>> Softrock exultation from MARK SIANO & CO!
>> Luscious smut from luscious AMBER WOLFE (a.k.a. MISS MAMIE LAVONA!
>> Something involving velcro from GUDE/LAURANCE!
>> And more, more, more!
All held together by the unpredictable clouds and sunshine of our host,
BRUCE HALL!Yours, StB curator Bret Fetzer

Lisa Raimondi - Opening Reception @ Cafe Racer
My dear friend, Lisa Raimondi, is back from xxx years in New York and Cafe Racer is hosting her first photography show since her return!Hope to see you at Cafe Racer!Cissy
Artist Statement:
"There are several reasons why I photograph women in the nude. One, as
a young adult,
my own experience as a photographer's model made me feel tawdry and pushed me to
want to show womens bodie's as art in a photographic medium. I find it
tiresome to see
the way mass media portrays women as primarily sexual objects. always
using sex to sell, when there is much more to us.The women in my photographs represent what I have been and what I have
experienced. Not merely beautiful, but also distorted, abstract,
puzzling, unattractive,
disturbing, good, bad, amazing and inspiring.I photograph women as a multi-faceted work of art, which is what we are."

modest section of Magnuson Park for an afternoon of music, sun, and fun.
We'll be setting up near the water, a ways south from the swimming beach.
Basically the same spot that the Oracle Gathering was last summer for those
of you that were there.Follow NE 65th Street east into the park until the lot. Find a space for

Freehold¹s Engaged Theatre Program is proud to present our summer tour of
William Shakespeare¹s Cymbeline with live music by Gino Yevdjevich of Kultur
Shock. Our production is part of our Engaged Theatre Program, which brings
theatrical performances and workshops to culturally underserved communities.
This year¹s tour will include Harborview Medical Center, New Futures at
Arbor Heights, Washington Correctional Center for Women, two units at the
Monroe Correctional Center, Echo Glen Children¹s Center as well as several
performances for the public.Shakespeare¹s Cymbeline is a story of transformation, of being thrown into
deep uncertainty and the jewels that can emerge as a result. It is about
the journeys that we all take daughters, fathers, lovers, mothers,
brothers and countries to come home to our true authentic selves.
Cymbeline is ultimately a story of betrayal and faith, of treachery, love
and acceptance.Freehold's Engaged Theatre program is funded in part by the Paul Allen
Family Foundation, National Endowment for the Arts, 4 Culture, the Mayor's
Office of Arts and Cultural Affairs and a 2-year matching New Generations
grant, which is funded by the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation and The
Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and administered by Theatre Communication Group. The phenomenal cast includes Noah Benezra, Precious Butiu, Reggie Jackson,

Independent Exposure at the Central Cinema: Manifest Destiny
Hi Party Volcano-ers,
On Wednesday 11 July, come check out the Manifest Destiny edition of Independent Exposure at the Central Cinema. This month’s program presents a collection of films that deal with political and social issues. All in all it’s probably one of the better programs we’ve screened in a while. The full runorder is belowThanks for your interest,
