Events from 10/28 to 11/3/2005

I can't do the Party Volcano this week. I am swamped at work.

Instead you'll get an oral version" of what's happening. But you should be able to figure out the details. Here is the rundown: "Crime Scene" opening at SOIL on Thu might not stink. Kozy Kino (321 3rd Ave S. #203) is back and showing Careful on Fri, 9pm.

The 3 imaginary girls host Real Vampires Halloween Ball with KEXP at El Corazon this Sun. FALLEN ANGELS PARTY at SEE SOUND LOUNGE on Sat looks terrible. Halloween Hits ConWorks on Mon with Semi-Pro Wrestlers and The Rat City Roller Girls. You can safely skip everything at The Mirabeau Room. Their event listing looks like a desperate attempt for covering everything that might generate some bucks: Bollywood, Burlesque, Poetry Slam, Jumbayala, Foot and Mouth Disease - you name it.

Maura is pointing out that there will be the free Day of the Dead at the Seattle Center house on Sat from 12-6pm. On Thursday we'll have another Red Stripe Artwalk in Pioneer Square. On the boards wins this week's Strange Lecture Award. On Tuesday, November 1st at 7pm OtB is presenting a lecture called "Humanoid Boogie: Reflections on Robotic Performance".
GMP is recommending ZOMBIE WALK on October 29th (Fremont) and 31st (Capitol Hill). For more info go to
http://www.livejournal.com/users/cleozombie/ .

And then there is of course Halloween. Most of the private parties will be on Sat. I still like the Halloween Party in Lake Quinault (www.quinaulthalloween.com). Please let me know if you went and how it was.

There are of course tons of private parties, which I am not allowed to post here. But let me at least give you the encrypted version: John reports that "The Church" on capitol hill will have a big party on Saturday. All the Space Virgin's will be at the Halloween Party they go every year, but this year it will be at a different location. West Seattle might gather at the Castaway Lounge if they do something this year. I believe the Blue Flamingo Bar will be closed this Halloween.

Okay, this one is pretty much public: The 3rd Lawless Riot & Drunken Revelry in Portland.

That's it for this week and I hope I will be able to catch up with you next week.

Cheers and Boo!

Don Volcano.
