Friday, 3/2

Chrom-A-Matic @ Annex Theatre's Spin the Bottle

Spin the Bottle has featured a startling variety of acts, but among the
most unique is the spontaneous painting troupe Chrom-A-Matic. Four times
they have appeared on our show, each time collaboratively creating four
original works of art, each painting influenced by the events of that
particular show, each auctioned off to the highest bidder as the show
comes to an end. No doubt you assumed this bounty of visual lusciousness
(I refer to the art, though it's true I could just as well be describing
the artists) would return again and again...

You were wrong. Chrom-A-Matic, much like your favorite band, are breaking
up. But we've persuaded them to return ONE LAST TIME, to end their joint
career with four dazzling works of art, and give one more audience a crack
at owning an original Chrom-A-Matic painting.

It's your last chance. This Friday night, March 2 at 11 pm, Annex
Theatre's Spin the Bottle will feature:

>> The LAST-EVER APPEARANCE of spontaneous art troupe CHROM-A-MATIC, with
accompanying ART AUCTION!
>> A theatrical adaptation of that cinematic right-wing trash classic,
RED DAWN!
>> The hot cleavage and hotter licks of MISS MAMIE LAVONA AND HER WHITE
BOY BAND!
>> Polyrhythmic pleasure from QUARTETTO DE ROOS!
>> Movement madness from MARK SIANO & CO!
>> A capella crooning of SCOTTO MOORE & CO!
>> Audience-interactive antics from GUDE/LAURANCE!
>> Spousal smut from Mr. Gillian Jorgensen, BASIL HARRIS!
And more, more, more!

With our sparkling-as-the-freshly-fallen-snow host, BRUCE HALL.

Annex Theatre's Spin the Bottle takes place on the second floor of the
Oddfellows Hall (at 915 E. Pine St. in Capitol Hill, just a block off of
Broadway) in Freehold's East Hall Theater. Only $9, and your ticket also
functions as a free raffle ticket! Good stiff drinks can be had at the
bar. Want to know more about Annex? Go to .

Yours, StB curator Bret Fetzer

(...if you would rather not receive this monthly notice, please let me
know, as I don't wish to annoy anyone. At least not by accident. Or if
you get it more than once, let me know that too, and I'll fix that in a
jiffy...)

Every First Saturday @ NIJO with DJs Menami & Recess

Menami starts off the night with her own style of downtempo to make that
smooth transition from the Sushi to Sake crowd and into Disuko. From there
Recess and guests drop the beats. Drop by prefunk, postfunk or stay all
night. The food is great and the location is a little hidden gem in pioneer
square.
